In June 2026 Stirling Photo came into being to create a purposefully diverse photography organisation centred around creating community through photography.​

We are a not for profit organisation seeking to be recognised as a charity with a Board of Trustees.

​Our Aims are :

 

1.Promote and sustain photographic practice through education, training, and access to equipment and facilities. 

2.Support the artistic and personal development of individuals and communities; enabling collaboration, empowerment and self advocacy.

3.Promote ethical practice in photography, inclusivity and diversity and develop and promote sustainable practice. 4.Building community by supporting peer networks, providing volunteering opportunities and engaging non specialist audiences.  

 

The Charitable Purposes are the advancement of education and the advancement of the arts, heritage or science.  

 

Stirling Photo has three primary vehicles for delivery - our studios for education and training, our facilities in darkrooms, digitisation and our camera library and Stirling Photography Festival - a volunteer led annual festival that brings Stirling to the world and the world to Stirling !​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
